Kasuri Methi Paneer Tikka

Kasuri Methi Paneer Tikka is a flavorful and slightly smoky vegetarian dish made with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) cubes marinated in a yogurt-based sauce with fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi), then grilled or pan-fried. The fenugreek leaves add a unique depth of flavor to the dish, while the yogurt keeps the paneer moist and tender.

Here’s a recipe for Kasuri Methi Paneer Tikka:
Ingredients:
For the marinade:1 cup hung curd (or yogurt)
2 tablespoons kasuri methi
2 tablespoons cream or malai (optional)
1 teaspoon green chili paste
1 tablespoon ginger paste
2 tablespoon garlic paste
1-2 tablespoon gram flour (roasted)
1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
Salt to taste
For the paneer tikka:2 cups paneer, cut into cubes
1 capsicum, cut into cubes (optional)
1 onion, cut into cubes (optional)
Vegetable oil for grilling or pan-frying
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together all the marinade ingredients. Add the paneer cubes and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
If using, thread the paneer cubes and vegetables onto skewers.
Heat oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium heat. Grill or pan-fry the paneer tikka for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or dip.
